After his graduation at Mahatma Gandhi Missions Medical college Aurangabad (MBBS), Dr. Om Agrawal completed his Masters in General Surgery INHS ASVINI, Mumbai- one of the most disciplined and excellent teaching centers of post-graduate teaching in the country. In fact, he secured 1st rank in College and 7th position in MUHS Nasik University in General surgery Final exams in Maharashtra.
After his MS, next challenge was to secure rank in Super-speciality Entrance examination in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery which he passed with flying 7th rank in All India Entrance for super-speciality admissions in Kerala state and got the admission in one of the oldest and prestigious institute in Plastic surgery -Government Medical college Trivandrum. With excellent infrastructure of Medical college and affiliation with reputed Srichitra institute for Neuro and cardiac sciences (SRICHITRA) and Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), he performed many advanced surgeries independently during his tenure.
Dr Om passed his MCh Plastic surgery securing 2nd Rank in University examination in State. Post MCh, he prepared for Diplomat in national board examinations in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery clearing the Examinations in his first attempt (general pass percentage over the years has been around 50%). With Masters in General Surgery and MCh as well as DNB in Plastic surgery, he started looking at new horizons in his field of super-specialization

After his Mch and DNB in plastic surgery, he was selected by interview selection for fellowship in Reconstructive microsurgery at Tata Medical Centre Kolkata where he was part of team performing most advanced surgeries in the field of Plastic surgery including Microvascular reconstruction, Breast Reconstruction, Sarcoma Resection and Reconstruction, Chest wall reconstruction, Skin malignancy Management

He is recognized by the Indian Medical Council as Plastic, Reconstructive, cosmetic, Burn , Maxillofacial, and Hand Surgeon and is an active member of -
Association of surgeons of India
Bombay medical congress
Association of Plastic Surgeons of India
Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

In addition to clinical interest, Dr Om is known to have avid interests in Badminton, he was part of his university team in interstate competitions during college days.
He is regular badminton player and can still challenge his patients for a session of badminton set if they wish!!
